As Partnerships & Outreach Coordinator at the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, UN-Habitat, Rosa leads projects and initiatives to promote the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the New Urban Agenda towards global development. She has managed global campaigns and advocacy projects to raise awareness on sustainable cities for international organizations and local governments.
With over 15 years of professional experience with local governments and international organizations, Rosa has managed global campaigns and advocacy initiatives for better and resilient cities all over the world.
Rosa started its early career in the private sector, working for Ogilvy&Mather in London and creative boutiques. She joined the Barcelona City Council in 2005 to empower the creative talent of the city. Rosa also managed citizenship programmes and campaigns to foster entrepreneurship and employment, as well as to promote Barcelona as a city to attract international talent.
In 2011, Rosa joined the United Nations with the aim at promoting sustainable urbanization as a key element for global development. At this international context, Rosa has been managing multi-cultural teams from the New York office, and coordinating field projects in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, China, Kenya and Europe.
Being responsible for advocacy and outreach at the Habitat III Secretariat, Rosa was part of process towards the New Urban Agenda, with strong links to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Currently, Rosa leads partnership projects in urban resilience at UN-Habitat, and advocates for urban policies on resilience at local and national level. She is coordinating the activity of the Medellin Collaboration for Urban Resilience, the major platform of international urban resilience actors, and the Urban Resilience Hub.
Rosa holds a Bachelor’s on Communications from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona; a Master’s on Strategic Communications from Universitat Ramon Llull and a Programme on Global Affairs from the New York University. She is currently enrolled in a PhD Program on Urban Journalism.
